I am in desperate need of a baby sitter! I need people who can watch my boys late nights on weekends.
The hours and pay are as follows:
Thursday: 6:15 pm- 2 am, $50
Friday: 8:15 pm- 2 am, $30
Saturday: alternating 6:15 pm/8:15 pm- 2am, $50/$30
I live in Herriman, and if someone has to travel a little ways, I'll be willing to compensate. I would prefer if someone came to my house, but I am so desperate at this point, it isn't much of a consideration. Keep in mind my kids are in bed by 10, so it's not long you have to chase them around. Even if someone you know can only do one of the nights or can be on my emergency list, I would greatly appreciate it! Ideally, I am looking for a high school senior/college student who can come to my house.
Pass it on!
Thanks,
Amanda
Please e-mail me (amandajeanne22@hotmail.com) or pass it along if you know someone who'd be interested.

DISNEY! YAY!
We started our Halloween celebration with a bang this year! From the 19th to the 23rd of October, we were at Disneyland! It was such a blast, and the first time for all three of my men. It is so very different than the last time I was there, like 10 years ago. Tyler, of course, was freaked out of all the rides with hills, and discovered very early on that he could get out of it by "having to go potty." What a punk! Cameron, of course again, was mad he wasn't tall enough for the one's with hills! Daniel conquered his fear of roller coasters and went on the California Screamin' like 10 times. Tyler's fave was Dumbo, Cam liked both of the Toy Story shooting games, and I liked the Peter Pan one, and I was absolutely terrified of the Tower of Terror. I know, I'm a baby. I just didn't like that you never knew when it would be over, or if you were shooting up or falling down because it was so dark.
My sister and her family went, minus her two step children :(. And my parents went, too. Tyler was attached to Nana's hand the whole time, and Cam was attached to Uncle Rhino's shoulders. So we had a very relaxing, almost child free trip! On the last night, we went trick-or-treating at California Adventure. It was so packed, and the boys were exhausted, but it was fun none the less. Here are some pictures of our fun family getaway!
Waiting in Line for Dumbo

My Little Natives with the Chief (sorry it's so bright!)

California Screamin' (great picture, huh?)

Space Mountain (so fun!)

Cameron was wary of the characters, but not absolutely terrified like Tyler!

Crazy Goose Fish!

Ty on Nemo

Captain Squirmy Pants fighting Pirates... Argh!

Cameron on Dumbo

Daddy and Ty on Dumbo

Tyler with the back of Nana's head!

They had pumpkins of all the characters

Cam and Uncle Rhino waiting for the Toy Story ride

This is what you get when your kids won't shut up in the Quicksilver Store!

Toon Town Jail

Mickey Ghost... So cool looking! They were all over this area of the park.

DB and I really didn't mean to match like that... But it's cute, right??

My daddy and my pirate babies

Pirates... Argh!

Waiting for the AWESOME Bug's Life show

That's our trip! We'll probably go back in a couple of years when it's completely different! Either that or Disney World... We will have to see!

My Savior
With maturity, or even just older age, comes responsibility. With responsibility comes stress and happiness, good times and bad times, even good choices and bad choices. It has been difficult to look at my life and wonder if the choices that I have made have been good ones. The pressures of the world are immense. From keeping up with the Jones, to keeping afloat at all, it is all so difficult! I realize that each and every person in the entire universe has hard times. Nobody is immune to that. I believe that it is what we learn from them and take with us to tackle the next task is what matters. Bad choices are inevitable as well. Nobody's perfect. Except for One. He is the life and light of the world. He is my personal Savior, as well as yours. He loves me. He wants me to be happy and will bless me that this is so, as long as I live worthy for it. This can be another difficult thing sometimes. I can never take anything I have done back. What's done is done. But through the Savior, I can have my slate wiped clean and start again, no matter how much I screw up. That is the most comforting thing in the world right now! I have often thought about how interesting it is that the One who offers forgiveness is the One who I should lean on for support to not make the bad choices in the first place. How great this Man must be to take this on for everyone in the world! I hope someday I get to live with Him and be welcomed into His loving embrace. And to think of this Man's Father is a new wonder all it's own...

Tyler Starts Preschool!

*Sniff sniff* Tyler has officially joined the school go-ers. He started preschool at Tiny Minds Preschool (In the down-the-street neighbors basement) the beginning of September. I walked him to school, fully prepared for him to break down. I was ready to sit with him, or take him home if needed. When we got there, his teacher Miss Bre met us at the door, and Tyler cruised right in with out even a hesitation. He walked down the stairs with out even looking back at me. Bre was shocked and asked me if he was okay, and I was absolutely speechless! I told her he was, but I was about to freak out. She was very comforting and reminded me that I had her number and knew where to go if I was worried. He goes every Tuesday and Thursday for 2 hours, and he loves it! He has yet to tell me he doesn't want to go, though there was constant protest before it actually started. He is learning a lot and making friends his own age. The little guy is amazing. Funny story, they decorated book bags in the first class. They are simple black canvas bags with their names and hand prints on them. My manly little Ty-Jo chose hot pink paint! He cracks me up and reminds me daily that pink is his favorite, Nana's favorite and my own favorite.

Sweet Daniel, the sports fanatic!

Sweet Daniel, my complete sports fanatic husband, has been addicted since time began. In watching old home movies of his childhood, I was getting irritated that they were all sports. I told him I just want to see some movies of him just hanging out and saying funny things. He said that there are none, only sports. I took it up with his mother thinking that surely there must be something, somewhere. Nope, nada, nothing. He has been on organized teams since he was 4 years old (kid pitch baseball, they let him in early!). His athletic career progressed through high school, which led to a college football scholarship! It has now progressed into "old man" sports, as I tenderly refer to them... Slow pitch softball, flag football, you get the gist. Since the boys and I faithfully attend the majority of these games, bed time permitting of course, they have gotten the hang of some of it and are relatively accurate throwers. And they can do it in unison, as you can see! My little prodigies... must be in their blood, huh?
