So, I just need to review my life right now and I figured why not use this blog and catch everyone up, right?? Anyway, my children are getting huge and are so adorable. They amaze me everyday. Whether it's something they remember or a question they ask, they are incredible.
Poor little Cameron has had a rough go at it... He's had his face glued back together at insta-care after a fight with the couch at church and he chipped his front tooth on the garage steps! He keeps us on our toes and worried to the hilt! Those of you who know my husband can go ahead and assume what womanizers my boys are. Cameron opts for the older women, some being 7 some being 10 or older! He claims them as his own by sitting next to them and giving them the google eyes before announcing to the present company, "Girlfriend!" He kills me. He argues with everything, but that should come as no surprise to those of you that know my husband as well. We have been working on our colors and shapes with him, and he is definitely still shaky. If you try to tell him that he is wrong about something, he will argue until you surrender. Arguing with any person under age 2 is pretty pointless. He's a charmer, though. He knows how to work those big brown eyes, and has learned from his big brother how to love people into submission.
Our little tender heart, Tyler is such a joy to have around. We get at least 5 million questions a day from him. Whether it just a simple 'why' or a more drawn out question that he stutters through to make sure he gets all the words out of his mouth that need to be included, he never ceases to amaze me. He is going to be starting preschool in the fall and the closer he gets, the more he does not want to go! He was so excited when we first got the process started, and lately he tells me he just wants to stay home with me. Which of course, melts me to my very core, but what can I do. He's got to go to school sometime, and since I spent a year adjusting to the idea, he needs to go. If nothing else, to prove to myself that I will not coddle him forever. Something about that first born has been tough for me to let go of. In all honesty, he just started moved out of our bed last week. I had a hard time with it, so he had just one more night with us last night. I'm sure it won't be the last, either. When a 3 1/2 year old wraps there little arms around you and pretends not to be crying, but whispers, "I'm scared, Mommy..." it's a difficult thing to send them to the scary bunk beds! He is a very sweet boy. He loves to share everything with me, and sometimes his brother. He gets so excited to go anywhere in the car, and he loves to swim this summer. I was surprised how well he actually swims! He's got those adorable water wings and just jumps right in and holds his breath. He does great. Tyler has fallen in love with the neighbor girl, Lauren. She is a few months older than him and does not like to share her toys with him, but he persists and knocks on the door (or just walks in the front door when Mom's not paying attention) everyday to play with her.
It's funny how anything about my life turns into all about my children. I guess that's how it goes. I'm really pushing for 3 right now, and I think that will be our grand child bearing finale! We'll see how it goes. My husband is not totally convinced yet that 3 is a probability, but I'll show him. We were out to dinner the other night and Daniel said that he was looking around going, "Where's, oh..." Realizing that both of our children were right in front of him. I have felt that way for a while now and I'm glad that he is still sensitive enough to the Spirit to feel it, too. Even if it's just for a small moment. It doubly touches my heart! And prayers are answered. Anyway, hopefully by sometime late this year I'll have an announcement about this.
Daniel is just working hard, as usual. He changed departments at his day job at Discover and seems to enjoy it. He figures if he changes departments every 6 months or so, he'll stay interested in the company until he can find something that only takes one job to support us. He loves working at the bar and is also doing well there. He's still so into his sports! At his high point this summer, he had 3 softball teams, 1 flag team, and 2 basketball pick-up game nights. He's been a wonderful best friend and does his best to keep the boys and me comfortable and happy.
Oh the house! It's been great to be a homeowner. Our house is feeling like home. We're getting to know our neighbors, and really settling in. I never want to move again, thanks the the 12 moves we've made in the almost 4 years we've been married. We feel like this is a great place to stay for a long time and we plan on doing so.
Daniel's parents came home from their mission in Fresno, California a couple weeks ago and it has been so incredible to have them back! The boys absolutely love them and enjoy spending as much time as possible with them. They are such a great influence on my little family and I don't know what I'd do without them in my life.
Well, that's probably enough for now. I'm sure most of you dozed off sometime around Cam's update!! Anyway, thanks to all my friends. I know I'm not a very good person to keep in contact with, but I love you all and thanks.
